I-80 Fathers

Garrett Elms was born and raised in Orange, California. He is currently studying English at Brigham Young University with plans to attend graduate school. "I-80 Fathers" was originally a finalist in Short Édition's Long Story Short Award, 2020.

It had been silent for several seconds and I knew I had to say something. "So we're not Italian?" It was the only question I could think of.
